The Helix is a sculptural planter defined by movement, light, and surface.

Its layered spiral form rises in overlapping waves, allowing light to travel across the piece and settle into warm copper tones throughout the day. Shadows deepen and soften as the form shifts, giving the planter a quieter, more grounded presence than traditional glazed finishes.

The Copper Edition is printed as a single, seamless piece using metallic copper PLA and finished to emphasize the sculptural geometry rather than conceal the process. Subtle layering and surface variation are intentional, reflecting how the object is made and how it changes when viewed up close.

A hidden internal water catch is integrated directly into the base, collecting excess moisture without the need for a separate saucer. This allows plants to be watered directly while keeping surrounding surfaces protected. The interior bowl is gently tapered and formed as part of the overall structure rather than treated as a separate insert, allowing plants to settle naturally into the piece over time.

Helix is designed to be planted directly and used daily. It is not intended as a decorative container, but as an object that develops character through use.

Well suited for succulents, cuttings, small houseplants, or trailing plants. The 8-inch scale gives the piece a sculptural presence without the weight or bulk of traditional ceramic planters.

Dimensions and construction:
The planter measures approximately 8 inches wide, 8 inches long, and 6 inches high. The interior planting area accommodates small plants or 2–3 inch root balls. It is made from plant-based metallic copper PLA and includes an integrated hidden water catch.

Production:
Printed and finished in small batches in a studio in Toronto, Canada. Each piece is made to order.
